Workplace Stress
research-based, results-driven, people-friendly
Stress is a dynamic condition in which an individual is confronted with an opportunity, constraint or demand for which the outcome is perceived to be both uncertain and important. Stress is not always bad, indeed there must be some stress in order to grow. Where there are high levels of continuous stress / strain in an organisation the effects can be damaging both to the individuals and to the organisation. This workshop is about recognizing causes and symptoms of excessive ‘bad’ stress and acting to manage it.
Who would benefit from Managing Stress
Executives, managers, team leaders and groups in organisations that are either experiencing the effect of high levels of stress / strain, or who want to avoid those effects by taking action ahead of potentially stressful events or changed environments. This workshop would be particularly beneficial to your organisation if you are currently planning and implementing significant change initiatives.
Objectives for Managing Stress
At the end of the workshop, your delegates will be able to identify generic symptoms and stressors and relate them to their own potential organisational situation. Delegates will have reviewed and selected appropriate stress management strategies for your organisation and will have developed a plan for their own systematic approach to managing stress for the extra mile times (see below) when they will be applying the skills and demonstrating measurable differences in their own coping strategies as well as supporting organisational actions to reduce stress / strain.
