How a learning culture can improve your organisation
Organisations can foster a learning culture by providing training opportunities for their members, supporting members’ own learning efforts, and cultivating an environment (climate) of review and reflection focused on organisational learning and knowledge transfer.
Research has shown that organisations with a learning culture have a more communicative work environment, informed decision making, adaptive workforce, increased creativity and innovation, enhanced responsibility and accountability, improved organisational climate, and better staff / client relationships. Training and Development Options
Most of the training undertaken by businesses in Australia is delivered as short programs designed for the business by consultants and trainers – such as those available through Deltapoint, such as the King Hit Workshops that are specifically aimed at improving managerial skills. Our workshops and Development Programs are very flexible, having been designed to be customized to meet the training needs of different businesses interested in developing both unique and general skill requirements of their people.
Organisations, unions and employees are also interested in training that can also build towards a qualification. Programs of training that are developed in accordance with industry specifications / competency standards are recognised nationally if delivered and/or assessed by a registered training organisation (RTO). RTOs are registered against quality assurance standards (the Australian Quality Training Framework) and deliver training that has been designed to meet the requirements of National Training Packages or Accredited Courses.
Help with Training and Development
We can provide a range of tailored workshops to meet your training and development needs as outlined under King Hit Workshops and Development Programs. We are uniquely placed to apply the combination of teaching (information and skills delivery) with the psychology of learning and motivation (information and skill uptake). Ian Johnson, one of Deltapoint’s principals, is a registered psychologist, with a professional focus on organisational conversation, learning and performance.
For organisations interested in nationally recognised training, we can identify and work with RTOs to ensure that appropriate training programs are tailored to meet the requirements of your organisation. Deltapoint’s other principal, Lesley Johnson, has been a senior manager with the Australian National Training Authority, is a qualified teacher and trainer, and has extensive contacts in vocational education and training.
We are therefore equipped to help select appropriate training, deliver that training, and improve the likelihood that it will improve organisational performance.
