Becoming a Leader

'Inspire others through empowering leadership.' This program is designed to help someone in a new leadership role to develop into, and from, the position. The program runs in parallel to the early leadership experiences of the individual.

Who will benefit from Becoming a Leader

Any person who is being or has just been appointed to a leadership position. A separate course is available for someone preparing to be appointed to the role. This program runs as a companion to their early experiences, much like a coach would. This suits people at or about to move into upper levels - such as executives.

  • Identify the dynamics of group action.
  • Acknowledge and reward your team
  • Showing confidence, display integrity, demonstrate energy and persistence.
  • Define the EQ - emotional intelligence - of a leader.
  • Identify the nature of change and its key drivers.
  • Discuss Kotter's eight-step change model.
  • Understand the importance of leading and managing change.
  • How to ensure new practices replace the old culture.
  • Develop a Change Management Work Plan.

Duration: 10 days of 1/2 day sessions at intervals varying from 1 week to 1 month
