Capabilities Planning
Our programs are research-based, results-driven, people-friendly
Duration: one and a half days
What is this workshop about?
Capabilities Planning is an inherent part of Strategic Planning and a precursor for Workforce Planning. ‘Fit for purpose’ mix and optimal use of capabilities is becoming increasingly important in a global market. This workshop provides a theoretical and practical overview to support a clear assessment of organisational capability in connection with strategic intent.
Who would benefit?
This workshop is an essential step for the Strategic Planning Team or Executive Group or Board subcommittee engaged in the full suite of strategic planning and/or review processes. This workshop would be particularly valuable to organisations that are undertaking quality programs and ‘lean’ initiatives.
Objectives
At the end of the workshop, the participating group will have assessed the current level and mix of organisational capabilities in terms of the strategic plan, current environment and potential future scenarios. They will have used decision grids to identify key areas for development and investment, as well as areas of potential waste or risk. Essentially, the group will develop a series of recommendations for action in terms of investment plans, systems changes and workforce planning to be factored into the implementation of the Strategic Plan.
