Behavioural Interviewing
Behavioural interviewing is a powerful staff selection technique that helps the interviewer to build a realistic picture of candidates. Also known as ‘competency based’ interviewing, this technique improves on traditional interviewing methods by enhancing the validity and reliability of selection decisions. It can be used with recruits or promotion interviews.
This course will give participants the tools and understanding to run behavioural interviews. The course does explores the relevant uses for non-behavioural and behavioural approaches to interviewing. The behavioural approach has the potential to influence the entire process from interview design through to reference checking
